Pair of Heavy Solid Silver Sugar Casters

1900 - 1920
Description

A very good quality (and heavy!) pair of SILVER SUGAR CASTERS in perfect condition. These heavy gauge casters (or sugar "sifters") are broadly speaking of octagonal Queen Anne design, and have detachable pierced lids, both of which fit tightly.

They are 'signed' by the retailers ("Wigfull" of Plymouth) and both are fully hallmarked for London 1938/39. 8.5ins (21.5cms) tall. Both individually weight over 9ozs each (285 & 290 gms). Priced for the pair.
