Collinge Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Amongst the timbers used here we have identified pieces of cherry, ash, oak, elm, bird’s eye maple, birch, yew, English walnut, larch and chestnut. On solid mahogany ground work. Raised on a simple turned mahogany column and square plinth. With four swept legs with brass paw feet and castors. Table top can be tipped to vertical when not in use or removed for ease of delivery. Some obvious old wear to the top. Otherwise very good condition, solid and sturdy with the original brass catch. Attractive mellow honey colour, faded with age, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
