Small Arts & Crafts Hall Seat C.1900.

Description

Delightful little Arts & Crafts settle or hall bench c.1900. Just over three feet wide, of unusual design in solid oak throughout. Shaped and pierced top rail between tall tapering rear stiles with square dome top finials. Swept sides, three plank seat over a pierced apron with a heart motif cut-out. Front legs continuing beyond the seat height with shaped detail to the tops, joined to the rear with floor level stretchers for extra strength. Old damage the corners of the finial on the right hand rear stile. Otherwise excellent colour condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
