Antique silver ladies Cyma wrist watch from the Tavannes Watch Company

The watch has a good quality hand-winding movement, signed Cyma, which is working nicely.

The watch measures 28.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are Continental silver marks inside the case back, together with the name Tavannes. The case is in very nice condition, as is the enamel work surrounding the small lens. There are some small marks to the lens but you have to look closely to see them.

The dial is signed Cyma but it is very faded. Some trench watches have bezels that hinge open, this one is a fixed bezel and was never designed to flip open.

The watch comes on an expanding strap which is unhallmarked but is testing as low grade silver, probably Continental.

The watch comes in a vintage presentation box. The catch doesn't work as it should be still clips shut.
