This is an antique carriage chest, an English, Victorian dome topped trunk dating to the late 19th century circa 1890.

Robust outer construction strapped with wooden lathes

Flip clasps to the front, clasp operational, key absent

Metal bound with carry handles to either end

The lid lifts on quality hingeing, holding on fabric stays

Internally finished in a quality cloth with fringe finish in good order
