Antique Silver Omega Pocket Watch and Chain

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The serial number for the movement is underneath the dial, which is usual for early Omegas, it reads 1,883,963 which dates it back to around 1900. There is also a brevet, or patent, number of 8760 which relates to an 1895 patent by Louis Brandt, founder of Omega. The patent related to the winding stem. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are Swiss hallmarks inside the two case backs. The case is in good condition, just a little surface marking. The engine turned detail to the back is still very crisp.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The enamel dial has a short hairline crack at the top but it is not visible to the naked eye.

The watch comes with a single silver twisted rope albert, 31.5cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. There is also a shorter section of chain upon which hangs a tassle.

The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
