Rare Antique English Figural Match Strike - Owl - London 1907

Description

Always highly sought-after and collectable, these moulded figural Owl match strikes or table vestas don't come around all that often. The rim is made from English Sterling silver and is hallmarked for London 1907, Edwardian in era.

It is also lucky enough to have an English design registration number etched into the underside (416529) for the year 1903, when this design would have first been registered. About as charming as they get, retaining his original glass eyes and in excellent condition with minor wear commensurate with age measuring 2 3/4" x 2 1/2" x 2 1/2".
