Ebonised and Inlaid Octagonal Table C.1890.

Description

Stunning 19th.c. exhibition quality inlaid table c.1890. Octagonal top featuring intricate floral inlays, with crossbanding and stringing, in ebonised mahogany, boxwood, and walnut. Shaped apron below a crisp thumb moulded edge, with a set of four turned and reeded column legs with carved acanthus leaf details. A stretcher in the form of a crossed gallery with a turned finial sits above four scroll feet, each with more carved acanthus detail. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops and bearing a movers badge from Paul Fuß (Fuss) & Co Möbeltransport, placing it in or around Berlin circa 1935.
