Standing approximately 15 inches (38 cm) high, this imposing PAIR OF VICTORIAN WHITE & GILT STAFFORDSHIRE DOGS, date from circa 1880.

They look very impressive either end of a mantel piece.

The Victorian Staffordshire Potter at his most imperious.

There is the expected rubbing to the gilt and one tiny nick to the footrim.

There are no cracks or restoration.
