A charming oil on canvas scene titled ‘Hay-time’ and dated 1925. The scene shows a typical romantic view of women and children out in the summer hay fields collecting the cut grass. The painting is not signed and this is probably because the work is a copy of a famous painting, although I have been unable to identify the source. The painting is of a capable hand. The work is mounted in a period gilt frame and the whole is in excellent condition and ready to hang.
