In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
At the bottom of the cabinet is an additional drawer below the pen tray.
It has been very well made and although it has been used it has obviously been well looked after over the years. It is in good original condition and the oak has a lovely aged patina. It would have originally had calendar papers in the top and probably a pair of inkwells which have been removed at some point but it isn't detrimental. There are no major damages and overall it displays very nicely.
