The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The watch has a key-wound movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed S Child, 10 Bull St, Birmingham. The movement is protected by an inner fitted cover.
The watch measures 53mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop.
The case is in good condition with just a couple of areas of slight unevenness, nothing serious at all.

The inner cover is beautifully engraved and reads, 'Presented to Mr A Monaghan by the Workpeople of the Cycle Components on the occasion of his leaving, August 1907”.
The watch glass is in good condition.

The dial is signed by the original retailer of the watch, S Child, 10 Bull St, Birmingham. There is a chip to the edge of the dial, mostly covered by the bevel, and and a few short hairline cracks but they are faint.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
