Antique silver pocket watch, Torquay.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, stamped English Made, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has 1911 and 1949 inscriptions from when the watch was passed down through the family.

The watch measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1905 with a case maker's mark for Aaron Dennison, a prolific manufacturer of cases for various watch factories. The case is in good condition, just some rubbing to the engine turned detail from years of use.

The watch glass has some small nibbles to the bevelled edge but the main face is in good condition.

The dial is signed with the name of the original retailer of the watch, F Easterbrook, Torre, Church Road, Torquay. The dial is in good condition.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
