Art Deco Sterling Silver & Guilloche Enamel Lidded Box - 1929

Description

As pretty as a picture and in the most sought-after colour of guilloche enamel, a wonderful pink.

The jar is made from glass with cut panels. The lid is made from English sterling silver fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1929, Art Deco in era. The makers initials are also present for the London retailer, Wilson and Gill. It is also signed Wilson and Gill, London.

The top is smothered in the pretty pin guilloche enamel with a bright patina showcasing the sunrise engine turned decoration below. Excellent condition with minor wear commensurate with age. 3 1/2" in diameter x 3 1/2" tall.
