Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
It measures approx 58” long & stands around 23” tall at the centre, it has a 3” lens and has an adjustable stay to set the viewing angle,The main Telescope optics is fine. The second eye piece seems clear but lens cover is missing.
This is rare and magnificent piece, the telescope is in very good condition, the brass is naturally patinated and has not been re polished. The view through the lens is good
