W. NOEL JOHNSON: a beautifully worked and impressive OIL PAINTING ON CANVAS entitled: "At Sala on Lake Como".

This good oil painting depicts the village on the shores of the lake with snow-capped mountains of the Italian Alps in the background. It is fully signed (lower right) and inscribed on the reverse, including reference to it being shown at an exhibition in Manchester. 37 x 26 ins (94 x 66cms) including the original frame which is in good condition.

*** W. Noel Johnson is known to have worked towards the end of the 19th century. He lived in Bowden (Cheshire) and exhibited at Suffolk Street circa 1892.
