Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1700s.
The top with mirrored veneers, finished with feather cross banded curved spandrels, and borders.
Each drawer with a cross banded surround, brass drop handles, and cast key escutcheons. The sides of the chest likewise with broad crossbanding, and the bottom finished with a quarter cut moulding. The stand with a rounded quartered cut mould edge, above a long frieze drawer mounted with brass work as per the chest of drawers. The whole standing on small cabriole legs, finished with pad feet.
Date c 1720.
