Castleforge Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1750s.
It has a lovely reeded shield back frame with a vase shaped central back splat carved with prince of wales feathers and swags to the top and half lozenge to the base. It has shepherds crook shaped armrests which are carved to the ends and with reeded front supports. It has a drop in seat pad covered in a floral fabric and serpentine shaped frieze on squared tapering and reeded legs.
This is a lovely quality mahogany georgian chair in very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany.
Measures: 39" high X seat height 17" X 22" deep X 22" wide
