Antique Victorian Walnut Inlaid Trumpet Sewing Box Table C1870

Antique Victorian Inlaid Walnut Trumpet Sewing Box Table and dating from around 1870. Constructed from quality walnut it has an octagonal shaped top inlaid with satinwood above a deep skirt. The top opens to reveal a very nice sectional interior with original lining and to the centre is a fabric lid which lifts to reveal further storage for wool, cottons etc. It has an octagonal shaped support with turned finial and stands on three shaped legs carved with acanthus leaves.

With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
