Small Antique English Sterling Silver Serving Tray - 1898

Description

An absolute gem, whatever you decide to use it for, from serving drinks, hors d'oeuvres, desert or indeed on the dressing table.

A plain base stands on four original bun feet, the repousse surround is highly decorative with a cut-out handle to each end. A good gauge of English sterling silver was used, weighing 16.4 Ozs / 510 Grams.

The tray is hallmarked for Sheffield 1898 making this a true Victorian example. The makers mark is present for the well renowned silversmith, Fenton Brothers.

A beautiful piece in superb condition measuring 14" x 8" x 1 1/8".
