The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The watch has a key-wound movement which is working nicely.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 57mm diameter excluding the stem so it is larger than a standard 50mm diameter watch. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for Birmingham 1897 together with a maker's mark AB for Alfred Bedford, the manager of Waltham UK. The case is in good condition, just some rubbing to th

e engine turned detail to the back of the watch from years of use.
The watch glass has small marks across it, again just from use.
The signed dial is in lovely condition.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
