Pair Small Regency Era Tub Armchairs C.1820.

Description

Stunning matched pair of small Regency era mahogany tub armchairs c.1820. Very slight differences in design, one chair being a little taller than the other. Both chairs with gracefully curved backrests and sides. Pierced and swept arm fronts carved with scrolling papyrus leaf details also repeated on the front legs. Backrests and loose seat pads upholstered in a burgundy velvet stripe fabric with patterned braid. Repairs to the back legs, otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Serviceable covers with only very minor wear.
