Smart Large Art Deco English Sterling Silver Photograph Frame - 1931 by Elkington & Co.

Description

A fabulous large English photograph frame made from sterling silver with an all-over engine turned decoration, a popular choice for both a traditional or modern interior.

The silver is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1931, 87 years old; together with the makers mark for the well top-notch and highly collectible silversmith, Elkington and Co.

The silver wraps around the sides of the solid English Oak backing incorporating a folding easel back stand. The top of the silver front retains a small rectangular vacant cartouche which could be monogrammed by your silversmith should you wish to personalize it.

Excellent condition measuring 12 5/8" x 10 1/2" with a glazed aperture measuring approximately 11 1/4" x 9".
