Andrew Cox Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The frame is of wire work with bead embellishments and has a double looped handle to the rear. The base is fashioned as a trefoil and sits on three ball feet. The salt would have been 'pinched' to serve and the pepper has star shaped piercing to the lid. The mustard has a charming lion armorial with shell shaped thumb grip to the lid and comes with an associated silver spoon. Only rarely do these sets survive complete and undamaged and this would make a great gift idea, being both practical and decorative. Dimensions below.
