Victorian Brass Jardiniere on Three Dolphin Feet

Description

Circa 1900 this beautifully made brass jardiniere has three framed images around the sides: one has a shield and flags as shown in the main photo; another is a boat going down a river with a windmill on the river bank; and the last is a group of houses with trees in the background - see later photographs.

At either side are Lion's faces hold brass ring handles, and the whole is supported by three superb dolphins or mythological sea creatures. It is a very well made item with good attention to detail.

The jardiniere measures 38cm in height, 25.5cm across the top and the bowl is approximately 19-20cm in depth. The feet are 30cm across.

It has been professionally polished but not lacquered and there are no signs of damage or repairs.

Postage and packing within the UK mainland only is included in the price but for remote parts of the UK or abroad please contact us for a delivery quote.

Alternatively, if the buyer can arrange collection from us we will pack it safely and offer a 20% discount on the price.
