Antique Victorian Mahogany Drop Leaf Sutherland Table

Description

These Sutherland tables are very useful items, because they are so slim when folded up, so will store away easily. This one is solid mahogany & antique early Victorian. It’s in excellent original condition, with a nice warm colour, good patina, plenty of character & the top has a lovely grain of wood. The legs & stretcher are beautifully turned & it has the original brass capped casters. When open this table will seat four people. I would date it to around the 1840’s period.

Depth one leaf up – 24?, 60 cm

Depth two leaves up – 41?, 104 cm
