Superb solid silver egg cup and spoon Christening set in original case. The egg cup is very attractive with a lovely raised border around the top and the base of the stand, with bands running around the centre (see images). The inside of the egg cup is a beautiful deep golden gilt. The spoon is a lovely simple design and also has a gilded bowl. Hallmarks are visible on both the egg cup and the spoon for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1921 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. The silversmith''s maker''s mark is also visible for A J Bailey  The set comes in the original black leatherette case with blue velvet and cream satin interior.  A lovely set especially for a Christening!  Condition: Both the Egg Cup and Spoon are in great antique condition.
