Art Deco World has dated this piece to the 1930s.

History of the makers.
Epstein furniture was originally founded in East London in the 1890's. Harry and Lou Epstein started the production of Art Deco forms from the 1930's. The craftsmanship was to extremely high standards, most pieces were custom-made. Art Deco pieces are not signed. From the 1960's, some pieces were labelled ‘H. & L. Epstein’ or ‘Epstein & Goldman’.
