Lancaster Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
It has been rewired to UK specifications and has a single light taking a standard bayonet sized light bulb.

The metal details could have been silver plated, or painted in a silver paint, and around the middle is an ornate 'fan' decoration on each side - see photo 1- all untouched and original. At each corner are raised angular glass decorative shapes and each holds a detailed large drop - see photo 2 with swags of glass drops between each corner.

It has proved difficult to photograph because the light bounces around the crystal drops causing everything to look discoloured; in real life it is fresh and sparkling to look at.
The long drops are all original, some are slightly different to others with small signs of damage on a few, but they make a lovely sound when moved. We have left them because we prefer to sell original items, but they can be replaced with new crystal drops to give more uniformity - these can be sourced online.

The chandelier can be viewed either in Surrey or in South West London by appointment as we no longer sell through a retail outlet.
