Gents Omega Wrist Watch, Circa 1943

The watch has a hand-winding movement, 30.T2 SC, which is working nicely and keeping good time to within around five minutes over 24 hours. The movement is fully signed and the serial number dates it back to 1943.

This model of watch also came in a military variant but this particular watch is the civilian option. There were a couple of differences as mentioned below.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel with a chrome plated centre section which is stronger than the aluminium centres found in the military versions. There is some fairly light marking to the case, nothing too serious at all.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial has possibly been re-finished a long time ago. There is a little light marking, nothing too serious at all. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A new leather strap has been fitted. The military version of this watch would have had fixed bars to attach the strap but this civilian model has traditional spring bars.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
