In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
It has four splayed legs and the chair swivels on a large bolt and is adjustable in height.
It is in good condition for its age. It has developed a lovely aged patina and is structurally sound. The chair is not without a few small marks here and there and one of the wooden caps covering a screw is missing on the back (see photo) but nothing untoward or detrimental for a chair of this age. The fabric seat is in good condition with no splits or tears and the mechanism for swivelling and adjusting the height is in good working order.
