Description

Edwardian inlaid mahogany shield shape cheval mirror

This Edwardian inlaid mahogany shield shape cheval mirror was made circa 1900.

The shield shaped framed bevelled mirror, is supported on a stand that is capped with fine turned brass finials.

The stand has a pair of sabre legs each end, with brass cup castors under.

The arms that support the mirror, form the shape of the edge of the mirror to give this an elegant feel.

The mirror frame, has box wood stringing, the stand also has the same stringing together with attractive inlaid motifs.

This cheval mirror has the Hingstons Antiques brand plate, this shows it has been selected to be of the standard and quality to be sold under our banner.
