Description

A Fine Quality burr walnut and marquetry inlaid Victorian Period card/games table. Having a demi lune top veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut with foliate boxwood marquetry inlay and a finely carved moulded edge. The top swivels and opens to reveal a baize lined playing surface, above a burr walnut frieze. Supported on a turned and acanthus carved column with four swept carved feet again with further acanthus carved detail and brass and porcelain castors. English circa 1860-1870
