Description

1918 Waltham pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement , grade 610, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number, 21,848,123 dates it back to 1918. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover with a retirement inscription. There is some scratching to this inner cover from where it has been opened in the past.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made by the Dennison Watch Case Company, a prolific manufacturer of cases who supplied Waltham UK. The case is in good condition with just light marking. The back of the watch has the recipient's initials, RGJ.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed white dial has three or four short faint hairline cracks towards the edge of the dial but they are very faint.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
