Regency Rosewood Work Table. Circa 1810

19th century
Description

Fine Regency figured rosewood lift top work table standing on lyre end supports joined with shaped stretchers and having curved legs terminating in gilded carved wood toes with brass ball feet. The bag side now filled in and leather lined. The top and frieze veneered rosewood, the base and legs simulated rosewood. All in fine original condition (except absence of bag) with so splits or breaks. A couple of minor veneer repairs to cross-banding. Lovely rich colour with fine waxed patina.
