An Unusual Victorian Silver & Cranberry Scent Bottle

A charming and unusual Victorian scent bottle with silver hinged lid. The body is a gorgeous cranberry glass, with cut through overlay in a wrythen pattern. The pattered and hinged lid opens to reveal the original cut glass peg stopper and a gilded interior. A lovely collector's piece, still usable today. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no holes or splits to the lid, though there are a couple aof areas of flattening around the outer rim, commensurate with age and use. There are no chips or cracks to the glass.

Hallmarks :- Unmarked (not unusual for small Victorian perfume bottles).

Origin :- English.

Height :- 6 cms.

Base diameter :- 2.75 cms.
