Raised on tapering legs cupped by brass feet, an original feature that would have been used to prevent damage mainly by moisture.This chest of drawers has been painted in a traditional method using natural pigments and an authentic traditional recipe creating a pleasing aesthetic mimicking age in an authentic process. The mixture of pigments has created a lovely rich almost ''army green'' like tone, pairing itself extremely well to the dark oak top.Dating from around 1890 this is a great example featuring a soft graduated curved front drawing your eye along the exterior of this chest.
