Antique Figural Cold Painted Bronze Dog (Beagle) Letter Clip C.1900

Description

A fabulous English desk-top letter or paper clip (perfect for business cards) featuring a cast bronze beagle retaining all his original cold-painted decoration.

The beagle would have been case in Vienna, Austria but the clip is very English so it would have been assembled in England around 1900. The base is made from inlaid Mahogany and the hinged clip is made from silver plated brass.

The weight of the dog is what keeps papers, letters or business cards in place.

Charming and in excellent condition measuring 5" x 4 1/2" x 4 1/4" tall.
