Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
It could be used for a small drinks cabinet or just general storage. This piece has some great features. The top section has cross banded cupboards, reeded canted corners & one shelf inside. There is a pull out brushing slide below that & four graduated drawers below, sitting on bracket feet. The cross banded drawers are finely dovetailed & have original brass handles, escutcheons & locks. The top drawer is lined with old baize, with divisions. The baize is a bit worn out & I think it needs to be all taken out or relined. This cabinet has a lovely mellow colour & is in good condition. It’s just been French polished & dates from around the 1920’s period.
