Description

French Carved Walnut and Tapestry Library Chair

This beautiful carved walnut chair, it come with its own original petit point embroidered upholstery

The chair dates from around 1880, the fabric is in muted colours with a central urn overflowing with fruit and flowers

The chair has beautifully shaped shepherds crook arms and legs with acanthus carving, matching the broad front stretcher, the bottom stretchers are a beautifully twisted barley twist

The seats and chair backs are brass studied and sprung, they are sound the upholstery is sound with a slightly faded look

The chair backs are 44” high, the front is 27” wide, 25” deep
