Antique Silver Waltham Pocket Watch and Chain

An antique silver Waltham pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade 620, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 18,620,807 dates it back to 1912. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1917. There is a discrepancy in dates which suggests the case and movement are not original to each other however it is a Dennison case and Dennison made the majority of the cases for Waltham UK. The front of the case is in good condition while the back has some unevenness.

The watch glass has a couple of fairly minor marks, you have to look quite carefully to see them.

The dial is in good condition.

The watch comes with a silver double albert with each chain measuring 21cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. There is also a 1954 engraved fob. The chain and fob weigh 33g.

The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
