Smart Antique English Sterling Silver Photograph Frame - 1918

Description

A superb and very smart antique English photograph frame, 100 years old this year with a full English hallmark for Sheffield 1918. The maker's mark is also present for the well renowned silversmith, James Deakin & Sons - John & William Deakin.

It has a simple but highly decorative beaded edge and a secondary border around the glazed aperture. The back retains the original ebonised wooden backing incorporating a folding easel stand.

Excellent condition measuring 6 3/4" x 5" x 1" thick; the aperture measuring 5 1/8" x 3 1/2".
