Burr Walnut Open Bookshelves with Drawers C.1880.

Description

Quality late 19th.c. burr walnut open bookshelves with drawers c.1880. Useful small size, just 40" wide, and unusual design with two small drawers over two adjustable shelves and two more drawers in the base. Top with symmetrically arranged burr walnut veneers and a deep thumb moulded edge. Moulded drawer fronts with burr centres and original turned knobs. Applied scrolling acanthus leaf and floral carvings. Raised on a moulded plinth. Some old wear to the top, otherwise excellent colour and condition. Cleaned and polished in our workshops.
