Gatsby Jewellery Ltd has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The centre stone is secured in an 18k rose gold collet which ‘floats’ inside a border of sixteen eight-cut diamonds. Intricate scrolling detail on the under-gallery leads to a slim and simple platinum shank.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire and eight cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are I to J.
Clarity – The sapphire is clean to the naked eye. The diamonds are SI1 to SI2; also clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The sapphire is 7.43 carat. The total approximate diamond weight approximately 0.64 carat.

Circa – 1935.
Size – N (UK) or 6.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down. Please contact us first if you would need this sized.
Measurements – The sapphire is 13.30 x 10.30. Sits 5.8mm from the finger.

Metal – Platinum. The sapphire is 18k rose gold. Tested.
