Description

A wonderful pair of wooden candlesticks, always a winning combination, polished Oak and brass.

Not to be confused with a simple pair of twists, these are the highly sought-after "open" twists, with two hand carved twists spiralling around each other.

The cast brass tops in the form of Scottish thistle form, protect the wood from hot wax drips, the brass re-polished to gleam. The underside retain the original fabric for protecting table-tops.

Dating to around 1900, they both remain in excellent condition, measuring 10" tall with a base diameter of 5".
