A French Fauteuil Armchair in Louis Xvi Style

1900 - 1920
Description

A French beech open armchair in Louis XVI Style, circa 1920, the nicely carved frame with scroll arms, serpentine shaped seat and raised on channel moulded supports. Upholstered in bronze coloured velvet with nailed edging.

The back 91cm high, the seat 61cm wide at the front, 51cm deep and 40cm high.

The frame is in excellent condition with no repairs or damage, the velvet upholstery is a little worn at the front but perfectly useable.
