Description

A 19th Century Oak and Elm Smokers Bow, Captains Chair.

The arm chair with a raised outward curving back rest, above an arm rail sweeping to rounded hand holds. The ring an shaped turned supports outward splayed, and surrounding the saddles seat. The four legs, slightly outward splayed with ring and shaped turning, as per the arm supports. The legs joined by double stretchers. The whole with very good figured graining.

Date c 1850.
