Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The gilt brass lantern with three scrolling arms, sweeping downward to hold the cylindrical body. The three panels of glass held within reeded horizontal bands, separated by three vertical columns. The columns reeded, and gathered with entwined ribbons. The columns finished to the top and bottom a the point they join the bands, with scrolling flowers.
Complete with chain and sun flower ceiling rose.
Date c 1890.
