Description

A Gilt Brass Circular Lantern, Centre Light.

The gilt brass lantern with three scrolling arms, sweeping downward to hold the cylindrical body. The three panels of glass held within reeded horizontal bands, separated by three vertical columns. The columns reeded, and gathered with entwined ribbons. The columns finished to the top and bottom a the point they join the bands, with scrolling flowers. The shank falling from the top of the three scrolled arms, to a ringed and waisted boss, from which the two upward swept and reeded branches finish in beaded vases. Complete with chain and sun flower ceiling rose.

Date c 1890.

Description
