Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
They have no feet only winding leafy stems twisted in with the three footed support of the table forming the roots and leaves of the vines

The quality of the carving is very fine indeed, even the bunches of grapes they hold are articulated. The Blackamoors have been carved from wood which has been polished to give it different colour tones, still keeping the lovely patina and grain of the wood showing, these pieces are not painted
A Superb pair in good condition for their age, with one split repaired on one of the tray tops
The Blackamoors are 37” tall, 17” across at the floor and the tray tops are 14’x12”
