A Fine 17th Century Walnut Chest

Description

A fine 17th Century walnut chest, originating from France this chest is decorated with ornate carved armorial panels to the front. The armorial shield shape panels each with an eagle flanked by two fleur de lis and below a castle, between the panels resides the original lock, missing its hasp and key. The chest has had a few old repairs to the top and some old woodworm damage in areas but other than that it is in original condition and has superb colour and patination.
